Unmanned mission to the edge of space. Technically, just very high, but still...

The edge of space is the Karman line, which is at 100km. We only managed to reach ~35km but that's still pretty good for a trio of guys with a block of polystyrene, some duck tape, a parachute, and a helium canister rattling round the back of a fiesta.

We built a race car. We lose quite a lot.

It's a (somewhat) modified Reliant Scimitar GTE 6. A fine example of mid 70's engineering from the midlands. That is to say, no two bolts were exactly the same size.
